- Welcome back to BG.
SEPTEMBER:
- Update your Raise.me account
- Consider Dual Enrollment courses. Your teacher will provide more information during class.
- Consider joining another club
- Study for the SAT/ACT
OCTOBER:
- Take the PSAT at BG
- Student Athletes should create an account with NCAA and request to have your transcript submitted. Assure you have the necessary requirements for the NCAA with your counselor.
- How to request a transcript? submit the “red form” found on the counseling office weebly page for each transcript you need to have sent, including to the NCAA.
- Update your Raise.me account
NOVEMBER:
- Consider the HOBY Youth Leadership Conference for the summer. Speak to your school counselor for more details.
- Study
- Read
DECEMBER:
- Review your PSAT results online
- AP® exam fee scholarship applications will be distributed. Are you enrolled in an AP course? Taking the exam in May is mandatory. Consider applying for an AP exam fee scholarship.
- Consider our 10-day study abroad opportunities. Earn high school and college credit when studying in France or Austria this summer or next.
JANUARY:
- Scheduling for next year begins. Discuss your options with your counselor.
- Mid-Terms
- Quarter 2 report cards will be distributed.
FEBRUARY:
- Read; strengthen your vocabulary and reading comprehension
MARCH:
- Prepare for upcoming exams
APRIL:
- Study for your AP exams
- Study for your final exams
- Attend the Rotary Career Fair
- EDSeries testing
MAY:
- Take your AP exams
- Take your final exams
- Consider taking SAT subject tests after you’ve finished the related AP course
JUNE:
- Information about your junior year AP® courses will be mailed home this summer
- Purchase AP textbooks/supplies and work on your AP summer assignments.
- Check the BG website for AP® books and summer assignments
- Check the BG website for summer reading assignments
- Create a plan for completing your summer assignments

- It’s summertime! Balance your RELAXATION with organized summer activities
- Consider getting a summer job. Work permit information is available from your school counselor.
