What is PowerSchool?
PowerSchool is an easy to use, web-based student information system. It is intended to provide parents, students and teachers with a tool to communicate student performance. PowerSchool may be accessed from any place the parent/guardian can access the Internet. The application is a secure link that encrypts the data to and from the end user. In addition, a username and password are provided to allow access for only authorized users to the appropriate student records.

The Parent Portal can be accessed using the link on the BG website and GuilfoyleCounseling website.
Parent login information is sent to families at the beginning of the year. This information is also available from Mrs. Butler.
What can I see on the PowerSchool site?
Parents and students can access the following information:
- Attendance
- Grades for current classes, as well as the assignments that make up those grades
- Teacher Comments
- Final grades from previous quarters
- Reports via email, which allow parents to request daily, weekly, or monthly reports to be sent via email
How does PowerSchool help parents, students and teachers?
Students and parents can keep track of their grades and attendance in real-time.
PowerSchool provides access to parents and guardians to enable them to communicate with teachers and monitor grades, attendance, and homework assignments in real time from home or the office or ANYWHERE there is an internet connection.
Do parents and students see the same information in Powerschool?
When students and parents access the PowerSchool server, they see the same information with one exception; only parents have the ability to request automatic progress reports via email.
How do I sign up for automatic progresss reports?
At "Email Notifications" select what and how often you'd like to receive these notifications. Make selections under each student in your account.
Can I print what I see in PowerSchool?
The best way to print is to use the Print Page icon located at the top of the pages in PowerSchool.
What do I do if I forget or lose my PowerSchool password?
Login ID and password is key to the security of your student’s information. Email Mrs. Butler to reset your password.
I have more than one child enrolled at BG. Can I add multiple students to my account?
YES. Add students to your account - Update at "Account Preferences" > "students" > ADD. Each of your children has their own Access ID and Login. This information is always available from Mrs. Butler.
