Summer School Information
Students should check final grades on PowerSchool
Final grades under a 70% require* summer school
Students who receive a final grade below a 70% in a course* are required to complete summer school. Students and families have the option of where their child takes summer school courses. Students can take summer school through any of our local public schools, Educere, or Bishop Guilfoyle (limited courses available). Summer school information rates and dates change each year, but materials are available in the counseling office starting in May.
Students who must attend summer school are notified by a school counselor. A sheet outlining summer school options will be given to the students and is the student and parents' responsibility to review, register, return the forms to the public school, Educere, or BG. Only Bishop Guilfoyle Summer School registration forms are returned to BG, all other registration forms are returned to the place where you are taking your summer school credits. Students must receive a 70% or higher in the summer school course to receive credit at Bishop Guilfoyle. Students are only permitted to make up a maximum of two (2) courses per summer and a maximum of four (4) courses throughout their time at Bishop Guilfoyle.
*Courses that require summer school: Math, Science, Social Studies, English, Religion, Health. Depending on a student's credits, he/she may have to take elective courses in summer school to meet graduation requirements.
Once a student completes a summer school course, it is his/her responsibility to have his/her grade sent to Bishop Guilfoyle. Please send transcripts to:

OPTION 3: Educere Online Credit Recovery
- Registration Due Date: June 3, 2022. To learn more or enroll
- Start Date: Approximately 7 days after receipt of registration and payment.
- End Date: Abbreviated courses must be completed within 60 days of the student's start date, but no later than July 22, 2022 by 11:59pm, EST.
- All courses are self-paced, though students must complete them by the designated end date.
